You found a role that sounds promising and you’re ready to apply—that’s great! If this is your first time applying at Sentry, you’ll just need to create an account on our Sentry Careers site. Make sure to highlight your years of experience, relevant work history, and skills in your resume and other supporting materials.

The hiring manager and our Talent Acquisition team will collaborate to review your application. If you’re selected to move forward, a member of the team will reach out to set up an initial phone screen conversation.

Interviewing at Sentry

You’ll first have a 20-30 minute introductory phone call with a member of the hiring team to assess your alignment with the position, including its established salary range. From there, the interview process will depend on the position, but you’ll likely interview with the hiring manager and potentially other members of the team you’d be joining. The Talent Acquisition team will work with you to schedule and help prepare you for your interviews.

Job offer and onboarding

Congratulations! You've received a job offer with Sentry. You'll work with the Talent Acquisition team to review the offer—including compensation and the benefits package for your role—and facilitate our standard background check for new associates.

Once you've accepted the offer, the hiring team will work with you to:

  • Solidify your start date

  • Provide your manager's contact information

  • Get you ready for onboarding through our mySmartStart process

Transparency and integrity

We’re committed to maintaining consistent, fair, and secure hiring practices. That’s why we’ll never do any of the following throughout the application process:

  • Ask for your social media accounts

  • Ask for your banking information

  • Request payment for any reason, such as background checks

  • Contact you through non-secure platforms
