Organizational Development Consultant

Overview

The Organizational Development (OD) Consultant leads the strategy development, design and implementation for processes, programs and resources in one or more of the disciplines of employee engagement, talent identification and assessment, corporate competencies and performance, succession planning, and executive development.  The consultant will manage a center of excellence focused on one or more of these disciplines. They work closely with other areas o fHuman Resources and SentryU, to identify and develop talent for leadership roles and other strategic positions. The OD Consultant is accountable for the business outcomes and results of organizational talent management processes, tools, and solutions that drive culture and performance.

What You'll Do

  • Apply organization development principles, methods and tools to provide a broad range of customized business solutions designed to support the business, enhance organization effectiveness, and strengthen stakeholder engagement.
  • Create processes and delivers solutions that impact the culture and performance of the organization.
  • Collaborate closely with areas of Human Resources to ensure alignment and integration of strategies, projects and programs for successful implementation and results.
  • Identify talent risks and partners with SentryU to ensure development programs are meeting the needs of the organization and mitigating talent risks.
  • Establish and coach to the process and best practices in workforce planning, assessing performance and potential to aide in selection, performance evaluation and development processes. Coaches and mentors associates at all levels of the organization.
  • Implement and monitor appropriate business metrics to ensure initiatives are effective and in alignment with business strategies.
  • Use internal data, employee survey, performance, quality metrics, etc. to anticipate and articulate emerging organizational needs at enterprise and department levels
  • Maintain current industry information, including new thinking and new approaches, and regularly communicate to broader organizational development management and team members as appropriate.
  • Provide direction within the Organization Development team regarding expectations related to implementation and data needed to make effective decisions.
  • Evaluate and select the appropriate vendors and manages the vendor relationships and budget.

What it Takes

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 5 years of related work experience
  • 5-8 years of related work experience. Experience in talent management, learning, or organizational development is critical.
  • Strong coaching and consulting skills and experience with influencing leadership
  • Demonstrated experience in the areas of organizational behavior, selection, HR analytics, and talent management principles.
  • Strong analytical skills with an ability to translate data into insights with practical recommendations
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated planning, project management and organization skills
