Compliance and Development Analyst

Overview

Insurance carriers experience a variety of regulatory regimes in the various states in which they do business. The Compliance and Development Analyst ensures that Sentry’s products are compliant with each state’s laws and regulations, assists in implementing new products and product enhancements, and participates in projects focused on key product and process improvements.

    What You'll Do

    The Compliance and Development Analyst’s key responsibilities include:

    • Monitoring and assessing regulatory updates, as well as collaborating with business partners to develop appropriate responses, as necessary;
    • Researching and analyzing case law, statutes, and other regulatory information to build expertise on key compliance issues and effectively communicate assessments;
    • Drafting and filing product changes with state regulatory agencies and securing regulatory approvals;
    • Collaborating with a variety of business partners to develop and implement product and process updates in an efficient manner while effectively meeting compliance needs; and
    • Analyzing regulatory information, data, and trends to proactively identify gaps and assess business implications.

    What it Takes

    • A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience;
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and an enthusiasm for research;
    • Strong critical thinking and detail-orientation;
    • The ability to work effectively in a team and develop strong relationships with key business partners;
    • Exposure to, or strong interest in, reading and interpreting statutes, regulations, and case law; and
    • Experience with Microsoft Office applications.
    • A knowledge of the insurance industry is helpful, but not required.
