Job description
Sentry’s Learning Experience Designers leverage technology and learning theory to design innovative learning solutions.

As a Learning Experience Designer, you’ll craft engaging, effective, and innovative learning experiences that empower our associates and drive business outcomes. You’ll apply principles of performance-based learning in the workplace, User Experience methodologies, and modern technologies to create holistic learning journeys that support continuous development and performance. Partnering closely with subject matter experts and stakeholders, you’ll assess performance needs, design learner-centric solutions, and develop multimedia-rich learning assets to ensure every interaction is intuitive, impactful, and aligned with Sentry’s strategic goals.  
 
What You'll Do 

  • Collaborate & Assess Needs: Partner with subject matter experts and business stakeholders to conduct thorough needs assessments, define performance-based learning objectives, and align solutions with business priorities. 

  • Design & Develop Engaging Experiences: Create and develop engaging, learner-centric experiences across diverse modalities, including e-learning, live facilitated learning, immersive simulations, blended programs, and performance support systems. 

  • Apply UX & Technology:Utilize User Experience design principles and apply learning technology and authoring tools to ensure optimal learning effectiveness and transfer to on-the-job performance. 

  • Create Multimedia Content: Design visually appealing, interactive, and multimedia-rich learning materials (storyboards, scripts, visual designs, e-learning, videos, assessments) that incorporate graphic design principles and brand standards. 

  • Manage Projects & Evaluate Impact: Apply effective project management principles, including Agile methodologies, to deliver learning projects on time and within budget. Develop and implement evaluation strategies using data analytics to measure business impact and provide data-driven recommendations. 

  • Innovate & Grow: Stay current with industry trends and best practices in performance-based learning, UX, and emerging technologies. Contribute to researching new approaches and participate in peer reviews, actively seeking and providing constructive feedback. 

What it Takes 
To be eligible for this career-launching opportunity, you must meet the following criteria: 

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience. Degree in Learning Experience Design, Instructional Design, user Experience Design, Talent Development or a related field highly preferred. 

  • Minimum of 3 years related work experience.  

  • Experience designing, developing and implementing learning solutions using rapid prototyping, storyboards and instructional script writing techniques. 

  • Experience with e-learning authoring tools and integrating with LMS platforms. Proficient in writing, editing, and proofreading learning content. 

  • Knowledge of contemporary adult learning theories and instructional design models and the ability to develop innovative learning solutions with minimal supervision. 

  • Experience in applying adult learning theories and instructional design frameworks into professional learning engagements. 

  • Ability to write effective instructional text and media scripts that support learning and instructional resources. Visual & graphic design skills with ability to storyboard and produce finished graphics. 

  • Proficient in current instructional design tools, video and audio creation, editing tools and applicable programming languages. Research and remain current with emerging technologies. 

  • Experience with virtual delivery, podcasts, micro learning, learner centric design, eLearning and social media, and video solutions.
