What You'll Do:
As an Associate Human Resources Specialist, you will...
- Provide assistance to the associate relations team by answering associate inquiries, preparing documentation, conducting exit interviews, and researching employment law and company policies.
- Support the resolution of associate relations issues including basic consulting and coaching, identifying tools and resources, risk mitigation, problem-solving, and independent decision making. With guidance from senior team members, provide advice and counsel to associates and management in exploring alternatives for resolution of work-related concerns.
- Provide initial guidance on assigned associate dependability and performance cases and escalate complex issues for resolution.
- Assist the Talent Acquisition team with various recruiting functions and conduct recruitment cycle for assigned positions.
- Assist and evaluate metrics that are currently tracked or will be needed in the future. Assist in the development and distribution of reports used within the department.
- Assist multiple HR and Corporate departments providing support for associate events such as new associate orientation, on-site health screenings, philanthropic events (United Way), and benefits open house sessions.
What it Takes:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Ability and interest in developing HR Generalist skills to include; compensation, employee development, benefits and organization development.
- Possess a fundamental knowledge of the major HR disciplines and can demonstrate the ability to provide HR support to their business partners.
- Basic understanding of fair employment practices and regulations.
